BBC Radio Ulster, Documentary series: Playing for a Living

Darren is the focus of a 30 minute special on BBC Radio Ulster on January 29th, 2017. In this prestigious series, Linley Hamilton talks to some of the finest musicians from Northern Ireland. Madeleine Peyroux, Royal Opera House Muscat

Darren will be performing with Madeleine Peyroux in February in Muscat, Oman.

Darren will be returning to one of his favourite places to play, Mumbai, India to perform with Griane Duffy in February at Asia's largest Blues fest.

Introducing: Sun|Drones

Darren's new band with enigmatic front man Josh Moran is Sun|Drones. Their debut show at Piano's in New York on March 1st was a mind-blowing success. Click on the photo for Under The Gun's full review. 


The attention-grabbing "Kill Me Baby" is their teaser track. With Josh's scorching vocals, it's crazy pysch sounds and cool surfer rock reverb, it's already gaining mass appeal. Check back for the video soon.

2016: New Year, New Artists

Darren is working with fresh, new talent including recent Island signing Josh Moran (pictured). 2016 will also see Darren collaborate with Jazz innovator Aaron Parks, Jake Owen, Alexia BomTempo, and Brandon Owens, amongst others.

"Cant Deny My Love" World debut: March 23rd 2015

Brandon Flowers "Can't Deny My Love" had it's TV debut on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon, and it's UK Radio debut on BBC Radio 1 with Annie Mac on Monday March 23rd. Brandon's exciting new album The Desired Effect is out in May and you can buy "Can't Deny My Love" - co-written by Darren - NOW on itunes.

Darren visits Paiste HQ in LA

Darren was at Paiste HQ in LA checking out some new cymbals. He's very excited about his new experimental 18" high hats; on top is a 2002 crash and on the bottom is an alpha medium swiss crash. "This is definitely going to add to the crunchy, explosive sound I'm going for on my rock tours," he said.

Darren also added to his collection a 24" giant beat  ride and two formula 602 classic sound crashes. Thank you Paiste!
